The Glow Between Worlds:

In the Twin Cities, fall doesn’t fade in quietly — it arrives in full color. Streets lined in amber leaves, porches stacked with pumpkins, and the warm pulse of community gatherings fill the season with a sense of rootedness. This year, that energy came to life at my annual Pumpkin + Día de los Muertos gathering in St. Paul’s Macalester-Groveland neighborhood.

Clients, friends, and neighbors joined together for an afternoon that blended tradition, conversation, and the best kind of fall flavors — including a new favorite: the Saveiro Mule, a spin on the Moscow Mule made with apple cider and Madeira (recipe included in my newsletter).

The day also marked the beginning of Día de los Muertos, a sacred time to honor memory and celebrate those we’ve lost — starting with our mascotas (beloved pets). My ofrenda, glowing with marigolds, candles, and offerings, served as both a personal tradition and a reminder: real estate, at its heart, is about where stories are lived, remembered, and passed on.

On the market side, Twin Cities real estate continues to show resilience. While national pending home sales were flat in September, the Minneapolis-St. Paul region stood out:

  • Pending Sales: +7.9% year-over-year

  • Closed Sales: +7.5%

  • Median Sales Price: Up 2.6% to $390,000

  • Inventory: Down slightly by 1%

  • Days on Market: 44 (up from 39 — a sign of more breathing room for buyers)

So while headlines may suggest uncertainty, the Minnesota housing market is holding steady — and in some places, quietly thriving.

📊 FAQ: Is Fall a Good Time to Buy or Sell in the Twin Cities?

Q: Should I buy or sell a home in the Twin Cities during the fall season?
A: Fall in Minnesota can be an excellent time to buy or sell, especially in neighborhoods like Macalester-Groveland and Highland Park. Inventory tends to be tighter, but buyers are serious, and pricing remains competitive. Homes that are well-prepped and priced right still move — and with interest rates starting to ease, it’s a moment worth watching.

If you're thinking about your next move — whether it’s a new home, a change of pace, or just a deeper connection to where you are — I’d love to help you navigate it.
