Friends,
Sometimes a season surprises you—not with grand gestures, but with perfectly timed moments that feel like they were written just for you.
There was a foal, born during a brief northern escape with a lifelong friend.
A dinner party hosted by a James Beard Award–winning chef, with stunning wines curated by my partner—one of those rare nights where years in the service industry felt like they had led us to this exact table.
And decades after working together in that same world, I had the privilege of selling a longtime friend’s home and winning their next one in a multiple-offer whirlwind. These two are some of the funniest, kindest humans I know—equal parts heart and hilarity.
From service shifts to signature closings—some relationships really do come full circle.
My three adult kids all bought cars (in the same month—because of course they did).
A tree fell on a buyer’s house just two days after closing. First one branch, then another the next night. Everyone’s fine. The fence? Not so much.
And then there were my morning walks—through the quiet paths of my alma mater and the magic of Macalester-Groveland, where glittering shoes under a tree felt like a personal message from the universe. (Buy more shoes?)
Always by my side? The dogs. Our walks are my morning ritual, and yes—we quite literally have the nicest dog house in the neighborhood.
There were listings I loved, a panel I was honored to join, and a conversation with Gary Acosta that still lingers in the best way.
My personal favorite! A golden-hour album if there ever was one—lush, introspective, and cinematic in all the right ways. It’s become the unofficial soundtrack of this season.
Set in an 18th-century English village where strange things (and possibly the locals) are turning into dogs, this novel is eerie, literary, and completely original. As someone with two opinionated malamutes, how could I resist?
I’m not just thinking about square footage. I’m thinking about where the light lands in the morning, where the dogs nap , and whether the kitchen can handle a dinner party that runs too late in the best way.
Because home isn’t just about space—it’s about how we live, who we love, and where our stories unfold.
🎥 Watch “Summer So Far” on YouTube – a visual diary of the season’s real moments, furry companions, client wins, and a few surprises along the way.
If this season’s stories remind you it might be time for a new chapter—let’s talk. Whether it’s a move, a dream space, or just a really good floor plan with the right kind of light, I’d be honored to help you find it.
From morning walks to unexpected tree drama, here’s what this season has really looked like.
