“Home is in the heart. And the heart can go with you wherever you go.”
— Sandra Cisneros
A simple, powerful line — layered with truth. Especially during a month like this one.
In September, we saw:
A long-anticipated Fed rate cut
Mortgage rates go up anyway
And a national market still stuck in neutral
But Minnesota?
We held steady.
Prices continued rising (up 2.8%). Sales ticked upward. Buyers and sellers stayed smart, strategic, and grounded.
In a word: resilient.
And that’s the word I kept coming back to all month.
Not just in market data — but at AVANCE Global, a debut gathering of Latino leaders across real estate, sports, culture, and innovation. I heard from icons like Sandra Cisneros, José M. Hernández, and so many others whose stories weren’t about surviving… they were about building.
As a proud Mexican-American woman, this Hispanic Heritage Month reminded me that resilience isn’t just something we’re praised for — it’s something we strategically protect.
Latino homeownership is rising
Retirement account participation is growing
Our economic power is now $3.4 trillion — the equivalent of the 5th largest economy in the world
And in Minnesota, the Latino population has grown 55% since 2010
We are buying homes, building legacies, and moving with clarity — even when the market isn’t cooperating.
So when people ask me, “Is this a good time to buy or sell?”
I say: It’s a good time to move intentionally.
Whether you’re building wealth, navigating change, or just dreaming bigger than the headlines — this market favors those who know who they are.
Minnesota is showing up with calm and confidence.
So is my community.
So am I.
Let’s build something resilient, together.
